Because 1040 is an even number, every result in this table is also even. You can see that the last digit repeats in a regular pattern, which makes it easier to spot mistakes when you are doing longer calculations.

A quick way to generate these multiples on your own is to start from 1040 × 10 and move up or down in steps of 1040. For example, once you know 1040 × 20, you can get 1040 × 19 or × 21 by subtracting or adding one more block of 1040.
